Transitioning trans women seek to blend in as seamlessly as possible in their transitioned to gender identity as women. This involves maximizing feminine traits and minimizing masculine traits. Also know as "passing" or viewed and interacted with as a woman as we go about our daily life in society. Whether that's going out to do banking, shopping, dining out, socializing and so forth. Passing is a sliding scale and depends on our starting point and transitioning budget.

Starting out will generally be mostly cosmetics and fashion choices, wigs or more feminine hair styles, mannerisms and voice feminization training all help in being viewed as female as we go about our day. HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), Laser or Electrolysis Facial & Body Hair Removal, FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery) , BA (Breast Augmentation) and eventual SRS/GCS (Sex Reassignment Surgery/Gender Confirming Surgery) will follow in various orders and timelines for most, but not all, transitioning transgender women.

Beard coverage foundations are necessary for those with darker facial hair until laser hair removal can be completed. You can purchase these at most drugstore cosmetics sections or special order from online stores that cater to the trans/CD/Drag communities. Going out without this will make your 5 o'clock shadow very noticeable and IS a masculine presentation! Don't let any gender non-conforming, non-binary, gender radical individual tell you otherwise!

Choose softer neutral colours for eyeshadow, blush and lipstick for daily wear. Nothing screams drag queen more than too bold of colours/shades.

To hide bulky arms & shoulders choose long or half sleeve dresses & blouses with lighter material that doesn't cling to your body. Wear chokers or scarves to cover noticeable adam's apple. Have fun as you try different styles of clothes, shoes, makeup, wigs or hair styles to see what suits and flatters you most!
